1. What services do you provide as a professional dog walker and pet sitter?
We offer a full suite of services you can schedule via the Ken Walks Dogs app, including dog walks, playcare, overnight pet sitting in your home, overnight boarding in a staff home, doggy pool parties, pet taxi, baths and more. All services include GPS monitoring and a digital report card with photos and maps.
2. Are your dog walkers and pet sitters trained and experienced?
Yes — every team member is certified in pet first aid and pet CPR and has collectively cared for thousands of pets professionally.
3. How do I schedule a dog walking or pet sitting service?
New customers:

Provide your pet’s information and routine.

After review and approval, you’ll receive an email to activate your account and set up your pet profile.

New members receive $50 in credits toward dog walking services.

Submit your request (typically approved within ~30 minutes).

4. What are your rates and payment options?
Rates for all services are available here. We offer discounts for recurring walks (dogs with walks scheduled Monday through Friday receive 10% off all dog walking services!)
Payments for walking services are charged to your card on file after completion, and overnight pet sitting is charged immediately upon confirmation.
5. Do you offer group walks or individual walks for dogs?
Yes — both are available at no extra charge. You can opt in for group walks or choose solo care at checkout. Note: All services are private by default—your dog will never be introduced to other dogs without your express approval.
6. How long are the dog walking sessions, and can I customize the duration?
We offer a range from 20, 30, 60, and 90-minute visits – we also offer multi-hour adventures with Playcare!
7. Are your services available for all types and sizes of pets?
In addition to dogs, we regularly care for cats, rabbits, pigs, chickens, snakes, fish, lizards, and more. We work with dogs of all temperaments and abilities.
8. Do you provide services for pets with special needs or medical conditions?
Yes — we support pets that take medication, use mobility aids, are deaf or blind, have limited mobility, are reactive, and more.
9. How do you ensure the safety of my pet during your visits?
Safety measures include GPS monitoring, check-in/check-out tracking, staff trained in first aid/CPR, emergency hospital partnerships, secure gear, commercial insurance, and on-call support.
10. Are you insured and bonded?
Yes — Ken Walks Dogs carries commercial liability, commercial auto coverage, and workers’ compensation insurance for all employees.
11. What is your cancellation policy?
Dog walks can be canceled penalty-free with at least 12 hours’ notice. Overnight services require at least 72 hours’ notice for a 50% account credit.
Please note that overnight dog boarding and overnight dog sitting services are non-refundable upon booking. However, if you cancel at least 72 hours before your overnight dog boarding or dog sitting service begins, we will apply a 50% credit to your account that may be used toward future services with us.
We accept a very limited number of dogs for overnight care in order to provide the personalized, around-the-clock attention they deserve. To accommodate an overnight stay, our team often plans weeks in advance and may turn down other reservation requests in order to commit fully to your dog’s care. In many cases, sitters arrange their schedules to remain continuously available for several days—or even weeks—at a time.
As a business, we must honor the significant time commitment our employees make well in advance by ensuring they are compensated fairly for reserved availability. For this reason, we kindly ask that overnight services be requested only when you are 100% ready and committed to the booking. This policy allows us to maintain exceptional care standards for your pets while supporting a reliable, professional team.
12. Can I request updates or check in on my pet during your visits?
Yes — you’ll automatically receive photos, maps, and status updates via email and in the app about your pet’s experience, atleast twice daily.
13. How do you match pets with the right pet sitter or dog walker?
We pair pets based on individual needs and walker strengths, backed by experience and compatibility.
14. What is your availability for weekend and holiday services?
We're available on weekends and holidays for a nominal fee (see: Services).
15. What happens if my dog sitter gets sick or has an emergency?
Ken Walks Dogs operates with a team-based care model. We maintain a full-time, on-call staff of trained employees who are ready to step in at any time if assistance is needed—whether that means assisting your sitter with walking dogs, transporting pets to and from your home, or taking over sleepovers right away during overnight care.
You will never be left scrambling to find coverage due to an unexpected emergency. Our team works collaboratively behind the scenes to ensure seamless continuity of care. All employees are GPS-monitored interally during scheduled shifts, allowing management to verify that pets are being visited consistently and cared for frequently throughout the entire stay.
