About Us

Ken Walks Dogs began in 2017 while I was working my way up the ladder at a veterinary clinic in Austin.

Outside of the hospital walls, I was walking dogs and providing house sitting for many of the pets in our care—often for animals with medical needs, behavioral sensitivities, or owners who simply wanted a higher standard of attention than what was readily available. That experience shaped everything that followed.

It quickly became clear to me that there was a major gap in the pet care industry. On one end, you had loving but informal care arrangements. On the other, large app-based platforms that prioritized speed and scale over experience, training, and accountability—often allowing virtually anyone to provide care, regardless of background or animal handling knowledge. That didn’t sit right with me. Our pets deserve better than chance.

So I began building something different: small, health-focused packs of compatible dogs, thoughtfully curated and intentionally managed. Adventures replaced rushed walks. Structure replaced chaos. Safety, enrichment, and emotional well-being became the standard—not the upgrade. What started with a single medical client grew organically into Ken Walks Dogs, built entirely on trust, referrals, and results.

Today, we proudly serve hundreds of dogs throughout Austin with a full-service approach that blends professional training principles, veterinary-informed care, and genuine heart. Our team is insured, background-checked, CPR and pet first aid certified, and trained to handle real-world situations—not just ideal ones. We use detailed report cards, GPS tracking, and clear communication so pet parents are never left guessing how their dog’s day went.

At the end of the day, Ken Walks Dogs is about creating a safe space—for pets to thrive, and for pet parents to exhale. From that very first medical client to every dog we welcome into our pack today, I remain personally invested in the care we provide. I oversee our standards, our team, and every detail that keeps your pet happy, healthy, and secure.
